PRESS RELEASE nr. 64 EAPC Defence Ministers in Brussels

The Minister of Defence Sven Mikser and the Defence policy Deputy Secretary General Margus Kolga will fly to Brussels today in order to participate in a two-day NATO Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council meeting for Defence Ministers.

The Minister of Defence Sven Mikser and the Defence policy Deputy Secretary General Margus Kolga will fly to Brussels today in order to participate in a two-day NATO Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council meeting for Defence Ministers.

The main topics of the meeting are the future of Euro-Atlantic partnership, its role in the fight against international terrorism and the Balcan question.

In the framework of the EAPC meeting another meeting i.e. the meeting of Donald Rumsfeld with the Defence Ministers of NATO candidate countries (V10) will take place. Discussions will concentrate on the candidate countries’ preparations to join the Alliance.
The previous EAPC Defence Ministers’ meeting took place last year in Brussels.
