National defence course for entrepreneurs

The national defence course for entrepreneurs was created to increase awareness among employers and the private sector about their role in national defense and the opportunities to contribute to Estonia's security.

In cooperation with the International Centre for Defence and Security, the Ministry of Defence organised the course for the third time in October 2023. It is a one-day event at the Tapa Army Base, where defense sector leaders provide an overview for employers on the role of the reserve army and the private sector in Estonia's national defense. The course offers a broader understanding of the security situation, the functioning of military defense, the structure of the Defence Forces and their training, and the skills beneficial in the labor market. The day ends with a dinner with the Minister of Defence.

To date, more than 150 employers have completed the course, including representatives from well-known companies such as Bolt, Merko Ehitus, Nordic Milk, SEB, Sportland, and Liviko.
